The Launch of the National Simulation Office Thursday 12th October – The Galleria at EPIC, IFSC
The new National Simulation Office (NSO) is being established under the leadership of Prof. Dara Byrne, the newly appointed Clinical Lead for Simulation.
The vision for simulation in Ireland is that it will transform healthcare, empowering all healthcare professions to provide safe, effective, patient- centered care that meets the evolving needs of healthcare organisations. Modern simulation, when carefully co-designed, supports competence in the individual, performance in the interprofessional team and a culture of safety and quality improvement in healthcare organisations.
This appointment will bring together the simulation expertise, passion and enthusiasm that exists in Ireland to identify key priority areas and strategic goals that can ensure success in developing high quality sustainable simulation nationally.
The NSO, once established, will facilitate, support, and provide leadership to a collaborative group who will inform the shared strategic priorities for the office.
This event held in the historic EPIC the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin’s Docklands will provide an opportunity to hear about the role of the NSO and why 21st century simulation is a must have for all healthcare organisations who want to improve the quality and safety of care.
