- This event has passed.
Description
Haematology Advisory Body and the Blood Academy
The Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine is offering you an exciting opportunity to gather CPD credits while enhancing your knowledge in an interactive and fun way. The ACSLM in conjunction with the Haematology Advisory Body have partnered with Blood Academy (Website) to provide members with a monthly CPD opportunity in the form of a case study.
Users will be given individual log on details to the Blood Academy platform where a patient’s full blood count values, clinical details, and virtual blood film will be provided. Users will be asked to suggest relevant features, further investigations and submit a diagnosis before the monthly closing date. This activity will possibly correspond to 2 learning hours equivalent to 2 CPD credits. Following this, users will be provided with a case commentary and tutorial video outlining the key findings of the case study which offers a reflective practice CPD opportunity for further learning.
To add to and enhance your learning experience, users could source papers/guidelines relevant to the case study enabling maximum learning hours. Remember 1CPD credit = 1 hour of new or enhanced learning.
Registration is now open on the Academy website.
Registration closes at 5pm on Tuesday 14th of June if you wish to avail of this ACSLM members only opportunity.
