Data Analysis in Excel

Outline: This training course is designed based on feedback from previous statistics training courses delivered by Dr Seán Lacey in 2023. The course will focus on:

• Compiling reliable descriptive statistics using PivotTable and PivotChart,
• Correlation and regression in Excel,
• Uncertainty of Measurement using the Data Analysis add-on package in Excel.

Each topic will be introduced from a base level through explaining the relevant terminology and functionalities, practical examples, followed by course participants completing exercises.

Note: There should be a base level understanding of statistics in order to optimise this 4-hour course. The “Introduction to Data Analysis” presented previously by Dr Lacey would be a minimum level and it can be viewed on clicking HERE with slides available HERE

Registration opens at 1pm Saturday 20th January 2024.
Registration closes at 5pm, Wednesday 31st January 2024
