Gavin O Connor, TU Dublin: ”The Detection and Titration of Immune IgG Anti-A and Anti-B in ABO HDFN” IBTS  

“I graduated from TU Dublin were I specialised in Transfusion Science and haematology. I undertook my research project in the RCI lab in the national blood centre, where I worked for 3 months. I have now moved on to further studies.”

 

Eimear Carr, ATU: ”The benefits of the introduction of EXM in Letterkenny University Hospital” 

Bio: Attended ATU Galway from 2018-2022 and achieved a First Class Honours degree in Medical Science, 2022. Specialised in Blood Transfusion, Cellular Pathology and Haematology during my final year at ATU. Currently employed at Letterkenny University Hospital. 

 

Erica Horan, MTU: ”A Review of the Efficacy of the Foetal Rhesus D Screening Programme Which Guides the Requirement for Anti-D Prophylaxis in Cork University Hospital”

I am a BSc Biomedical Science graduate who graduated from Munster Technological University and University College Cork in 2021. As part of my Diploma in Clinical Placement in CUH last year, I carried out a project titled “A Review of the Efficacy of the Foetal Rhesus D Screening Programme Which Guides the Requirement for Anti-D Prophylaxis in Cork University Hospital”.  I am now practicing as a Medical Scientist in the Blood Transfusion laboratory in CUH.
