ACADEMY PILOT MENTORING PROGRAMME
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
(extended due to cyber attack)
The Academy is piloting a peer mentoring programme in the coming months.
We are inviting Medical Scientists at any stage of their careers, for an expression of interest in learning more about this pilot mentoring programme and becoming a mentor or mentee, to support their professional development.
Mentoring in the workplace is an established partnership between colleagues for the purposes of learning and growth.
While mentoring initiatives do not exist everywhere, they are becoming more common. When effective, such programmes can provide valuable support for new or established scientists while also establishing an open, inviting workplace culture where people feel empowered.
Mentoring facilitates many benefits for mentors, mentees and throughout organisations, from personal development, to increased job satisfaction and employee retention.
An expression of interest will not be considered a commitment to participate but will allow us to invite interested parties to information and training events.
Mentor and mentee expression of interest forms are available at www.acslm.ie
on the ‘Mentoring’ tab and should be returned to cpd@acslm.ie by Friday 27th August 2021.
(Please note that we have re-opened the mentor expression of interest, due to the HSE cyber attack). Please refer to the Mentor Guidelines on the “mentoring” tab at www.acslm.ie for further information.
